    Congrats. :)

Did you order this through Sager directly or through a reseller (Powernotebooks, XoticPC, Discountlaptops, etc..)??

If you order it from a reseller, you can get some added benefits for free (full 24/7 domestic support, 2 extra years of warranty, etc....)

Sager directly. I know many people advised against it, but I just feel a little more secure ordering from the company itself. Call me crazy *shrug*

The great and mighty Chaz! Your review was part of my decision making process. Say, you never noticed any keyboard responsiveness issues like what I had with my m15x with it, did you? lol

Never had any keyboard problems with any of the Sager notebooks I have tested over the years. No problems with my personal Sager either, over 2.5 years later. :)

    What's the point of trials....

Either get a full version (the best deals are through schools)

Or get Open Office 3 (alternative to MS Office 2007) for free. :)

    version 3 beta

Its almost final, but the version 3 incorporates the Office 2007 filters for importing and such.

While we're on the topic, I have an Office-related question. During my time with the m15x, I re-installed Windows, and subsequently all other software on the machine a few times. Just Yesterday I got an email from Microsoft asking me if I was enjoying my Office trial. There was a link for converting to the full version etc.

I'm assuming that once you install the software it's a trial, and upon entering the product key, it's registered as the full version. Is that the case, or did I just save this software disk for nothing but a trial? That would be frustrating.

By the way, this is the re-installation disk for Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 that I purchased with the m15x. There's no reason that it should be anything short of the full version of the software.

Trial versions are not converted to Full Version until...
    - you input the an official Product Key
    - and Activate/Register it

So holding the CD might not mean anything unless if you have the Product Key to make the software full version.

Right..when I opened word after re-installing the software, it prompted me for the product key..which i entered from the back of the cd case. That should convert it to full, yes?

EDIT: I just want to make sure that the Office software that cost over a hundred dollars isn't just a bloody trial...

Yes it should have converted to Full Version if your entered the COA (Certificate of Authenticity) or Product Key license.

K...thanks. Only thing that doesn't make sense to me then is why they would email me asking if I was satisfied with a trial when they obtained my email adress through the full registration process....

I email Microsoft just a second ago to confirm that everything's cool.

Might just be an automated email , one which probably goes to all trial testers.
It`s not like they keep track of who and what.

Yea I'm sure that's the case...I just said I find it funny that (I think) the only place they could have gotten my email to associate it with the product was from when I registered from trial to full lol...
