in the intel 2 duo core processors? It seems like a huge jump in price, how much would it help me?

    not worth it actually.

if you are playing games or video editing, you wont really notice a difference.

benchmarks show a marginal 5-10% difference, but the price difference makes it not worth it.

the Core 2 Duo T7200 is the sweet spot for mobile processors... best bang for the buck.

It totally depends on what you wish to do on the notebook. If your main intentions are to simply word process, and surf the Internet, then the T7200 (2.0 GHz) model will do fine. Even a slower processor will be more than enough for that task. However, if you wish to complete some processor dependat tasks, such as heavy video editing or encoding, then the faster the process the better. Having said that, paying alot of money for it is pointless. The T7200 sits in the middle of the range, with the best price to performance ratio. I would advise a consideration of that processor.

The t7600 doesn't offer nearly the performance improvement over the t7200 that it would justify the price jump.
