I'm looking to do some thermal modifications to my CPU/GPU heatsinks to get that little extra edge on temperatures. I've heard of some taking mini-heat sinks and attaching them with thermal tape to the thermal block to dissipate the heat a little better. The two fans already provide a little bit of active cooling for the mobo and other components, so I think it would be a good idea.
Where would I find mini-heatsinks like this?
Any other ideas out there on pulling that heat down?

Something more like this is probably more what you are looking for. Not sure where you can by these outside of a full vga cooler kit.

Hi emike09. You might want to give Mark a call to see what he used. I believe in his older designs he used generic heatsinks, some from Thermaltake, before CNC'ing his own custom heatsinks out of blocks of aluminium and copper. It's quite impressive.
