    Hello guys,

I am planning to purchase new Thermal Pads for my Clevo d900f to replace the Thermal Pads on the big CPU heat sink and GPU heat sink but I have no clue what kind of Thermal Pads will do and what thickness I should use for this laptop.

The big CPU heat sink has a few Thermal Pads cut in the right size for covering up chips on the main motherboard, etc and the GPU heat sink has a few of them cut in the right size for covering the up the ram chips, etc.

Has anybody got any suggestions please on decent quality Thermal Pads, sheet for cutting that will definitely do this laptop?

Thank you in advance for help.

Any 5mw/k pad should do the trick, go for softer ones rather than harder ones.

What is 5mw/k? is that the thickness or something else? I tried to search 5mw/k Thermal Pad but it doesn't come up with anything useful.

Is it possible that somebody could please post some links to good Thermal Pads or Thermal Pads sheet that is the right thickness, etc that will do this laptop?

    Thanks so much.

It's the heat transference of the material per difference in degrees kelvin between the two sides of the material at a constant thickness. Thicker pads will move less heat. So long as it makes contact ANY reasonable pad will work just fine.
