Well hey, just look at it this way: down the road, if you ever start feeling like you need more juice the upgrade option will be here for you, and it won't cost you an arm and leg anymore. If it's out within the next thirty days, you could always send it back in for the new card.
Well the T9800 is ten percent performance jump over the P9600, so it all depends on whether the work you do would benefit from that 10%. It's hard for me to know better than you.

I ordered one of these laptops the other day. I got fed up of having to lower settings of my games on my 9500M because even some of the really older ones were struggling. Getting lag in GTA SA unless I tone down some of the settings was a nuisance.

I am really looking forward to getting my NP8660. I will give GTA IV a quick test despite hearing how poorly optimised that one is.

I was looking at this around release time and saw a lot of threads with issues/complaints. Have they all been resolved?

I remember heat issues, and a few other things.

Though now my eye is looking for M98 information I do not know if I want to trek around a 18" notebook :p

When and where did you order your one from? How long did it take to receive and did it also say back order (awaiting stock).

My order is from Novatech, the NP8660 is no longer listed on their site (assuming it is due to GPU or chassis upgrade / new model) and it says back order (awaiting stock).

I don't see how they could put an estimate of 12th march for my order.

I ordered mine from Powernotbooks.com and i went to their site this morning and discovered that indeed it now says backordered. It sure would be interesting to find out why. It took about a week to get it.

I just canceled my order after hearing that the updated M860TU model will have quad core support and also the newer and faster GTX 260M. Some sites are already doing pre orders for April.

I can definately hold of until April for quad core support and a GPU that claims to be 50% faster than the current gen.

I won't be ascending to the halls of the true gaming overlords just yet lol.

I look forward to trying the most unoptimised game in the history of gamekind on this one.
