    Hello everyone,

I am new to the whole custom laptop game.

I recently made up my mind to take the plunge and ordered a couple bare bones NP2240's.

What i need to know what tools/gear i need to buy to make installation of CPU, GPU, ect easier.

    Any suggestions are appreciated!

    Thanks

Good luck. I always hope I had balls of steel to man up and build laptop from chassis by myself but it never happens ;)

well its not that hard tbh :)

lets see, with a barebone ull need a cpu, gpu, hdd/ssd, ram, maybe wifi/bluetooth....and thats pretty much it! only tool to get the job done is a screwdriver :D aside from that just a lil bit of patience and the fun of building ur very own system :)

Why would you choose this barbone? It doesn't have dedicated GPU. Whatever. Just get whatever Ivey Bridge you want and you're done. Not much building at all. If you need ram or HDD, just slide em in. Only time you'll need screws really is for the CPU. That's it.

You'll want some thermal paste though. I recommend ICD7.

You need a phillips head screwdriver, some thermal paste and patience if you have all the parts coming (OS/HDD/RAM/Wireless/CPU).
