    A friend just said they've got a few RAMs they don't need; specs:

    Here are the specs for the laptop RAM I'm not gonna need:

    Two 2GB sticks, 200-pin SODIMM, DDR2 PC2-5300
    CL=5 Unbuffered NON-ECC DDR2-667 1.8V 256Meg x 64

    These usable in the 570RU by chance? I've got 2GB of RAM now so bumping up to 4GB might be nice (and hey while using XP32 I'll only get a fraction of it, but what the heck.)

    XoticPC's site notes that I already have:
    - Ram: ~ 2,048MB DDR2 667 PC2 5300 (2 S

    Looks to me like these should be no problem for me to use, but I'm no expert anymore.. no time ot keep up lately :)

    Thanks for any tips my friends :)

    If your laptop accepts DDR2 (which it does if it has an Intel T5xxx,T7xxx, T8xxx or T9xxx processor with 667MHz or 800MHz FSB), then the RAM that you have will work fine. If you want to double check, download CPU-Z from CPUID.com, run it and check the "Memory" tab.
