Those waiting for WSXGA for their NP5790

I just wanted to see how many people passed on the upgrade too WUXGA and stuck with good ol' WSXGA when the going got tough. Personally, I think it will be well worth the wait. Whether you got glossy or matte feel free to post on this thread and share your stories of lonely and long waiting.

those were my thought exactly and i am getting matte too.

 

I'm getting it cuz I can't afford any other
But it doesn't matter to me which screen to play on cuz I don't see any difference...as long as it's LCD...
The wait time is sooo long tho...I have to switch my delivery to 1-3 days...and then finally I will be playing WoW and enjoying Tenacious D at the same time

 

i was looking at the new alienware m9750 and if i wanted to configure it the way i configured my NP5790 then it would cost me almost $1,000 more!!!

 

well, what'd you expect, it is alienware, after all. They charge super-premiums for everything....

July 3d...that's when I changed it from C90S...Justin just emailed me and said that Sager "plans" to ship em out in next 5-8 business days...we'll see...

 

So who's planning to do what with theirs (if gaming what games)...obviouisly we all have a purpose...didn't spend $2000 for surfing the web....personally I will play WoW..I don't know why but the game is very addictive...I'll try to play some new releases...Crysis is certainly on my list....!!!...

 

Mine will probably come 2-3 weeks later coz I ordered it with the Glossy WSXGA screen in Australia. I will definitely be playing new games such as Crysis, Quake Wars, Bioshock (the best of all imo), UT3, Gears of War, Haze, World of Conflict, Stranglehold, Timeshift, NFS: Pro Street, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway etc etc... Yes I know I've got a long list...

You should see mine. I wrote it down the last year without a gaming machine, and it's getting longer and longer

 

hahah Hackman that's what I used to do before I ordered my laptop so I won't forget the inormous number of games I wanted to play....any WoW players tho???

 

lol... Looks like we're all "game-writers"... I love my list coz when I look at it it gives me hope and reminds me the huge amount of good games that are coming out soon... I don't really play WoW though... I prefer BF2 or CSS...

 

PPL still play BF2....I thought everyone moved on to 2142...but Sourse..yeh..definatly...or w\e you spell it like..

 

I want to play oblivion and maybe start into WoW. I can't wait to see what BF 2142 will look like on this new machine since I am running currently on a Nvidia 5200 FX slim edition. I ordered my machine on June 23 so I really hope it will get sent soon.

 

hitman we'll play some WoW...plus yeh..I wanna try BF 2142 since I am a huge fan of BF2...but if you start playng WoW you won't have time to play anything else..it just sucks you in..

 

Aye, it's true, I weaned myself from it a few months ago, it was pretty much killing me, to give the short version. "gave away" (not really), my account, and am off of it forever. But, for old times sake, I must profess that the Horde will never win. Ever.

 

For some reason I hate BF2142... BF2 feels more "real" for me. Absolutely going to try out Company of Heroes and Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars on it as well...

 

Nobody will win...cuz add ons will keep coming...but horde is stil better...from what I've heard alliance is a bunch of kids who are in your way to enjoy the game...oh well

 

For all I know, it's prob. true, though it was simple enough to tell the kids from the adults simply by their speech (in-game). A lot less grammatical errors, and much less usage of the word "Pwn't" Rather refreshing, I thought, for the few months I played. THat's prob. why I was able to get off it, cause I didn't play all that long.

 

I like horde tho...cuz they look better...cmon what's cooler an orc or a gnome...pffft..orc will crush em UP!...especially if it's a orc rogue...

Why is everyone is so phsyched about Bioshock...I mean yeh..the game looks good...I don't know..I'mnot even gonna touch it...but what I will is CRYSIS!!!!!!!ZOMFG the game looks FINE!!!!

 

Haha, Crysis does LOOK fine. But from what we know about Bioshock from trailers and interviews etc. It seems that Bioshock offers more unseen and interesting gameplay with lots of surprises, while Crysis seems like it's just another standard first person shooter with extremely detailed environment graphics if you wanted to compare them both... And if you're not going to touch Bioshock then you're missing out imo...

 

Whats everyones arrival dates? anyone have thiers yet with some bench's?
