Anything i should think about adding before purchase?

 

Looks good. Did you notice the GPU selected is "BACK ORDERED" which means it currently not available. If you're OK with waiting go for it but currently there is no exact date on when they will be in stock. The Nvidia options are available.

 

If you can afford it, I'd go with the intel 7260ac wireless card and IC diamond cooling compound.

I also hate with utter passion glossy screens, but up to you if you want glossy. Matte doesn't act like a mirror so you don't have many issues viewing your screen outside/in light/etc.

 

Yes I did, not going to order it immediately but within the next few weeks. I will be doing some CAD work and heard the AMD gpu's are better for this.

Well it's up to you if you like teh glossy XD. That last one about the screen was a preference thing; the first two were the real recommendations

 

Agreed. The AMD GPU will serve you better for CAD. The cheaper 870M however, is very comparable in gaming performance though.

 

AMD video cards offer better support for certain technologies, such as OpenCL. While the R9 290X isn't an equal counterpart to a 880M, if your application(s) rely on the computing language(s) that the AMD card better supports, then the program(s) will run better. :thumbsup:

Great build! It's always good to see a SSD in there. I second the IC Diamond upgrade as well.

 

Do you know the current wait time on the R9 m290x?

 

Sager is saying "ETA Mid May" but that may change, especially since there is not specific date. We won't know 100% until they are physically on hand.
