5th post now, hoping to get in touch with a few xoticpc or malibal reps.

    Had a few questions:

    1. Are either sellers backed up on parts(wieless cards)

    2. Will the BIOS have any problems or need updates straight out of the box?

    3. I would like the seller to run some benchmarking before shipping. Do either XOTICPC or MALIBAL offer this service free of charge? (I dont mind if means 1 or 2 extra days of waiting)

I plan on finalizing a purchase by this Monday or Wednesday.

    1) The only thing thats tight is the 1103, but that should be taken care of in the next few days

    2) Can't speak for the other guys, but we do all the updates for you, and the only update it'll need when you get it is if there is an update during shipping.

    3) Again, we run a full benchmark suite against all our laptops and keep the results on the laptop for you to see when you get it. Thats our policy, you will have to speak to the xotic and malibal people about their policy.

^ Buy from these guys. They're awesome.

I wouldn't buy the Bigfoot card, though. If you were interested in the 1103, get the Intel 6300 instead. Much more stable and reliable.

    1. We have all cards in stock, including the Bigfoot 1103.

    2. We ship all laptops with the latest BIOS.

    3. Yes we can offer this at no extra charge.

    Hi ST4R,
    1. All cards are in stock now. The BF 1103 were back ordered for a while but they just came back in.

    2. Sager computers are shipped with everything up to date including the BIOS.

    3. If you include an OS in your configuration benchmarking will be done (fee of charge) on the computer to make sure everything is working and stable.

noticing today that a few resellers have taken off the 2630qm (malibal, prostar, etc) and a few have backorder on the 2630qm (xotic)

Are the 2630qm processors about to phase out?

The 26XXQM is just being refreshed. The 2630QM first came out around last Feb/March so it was due for an little boost. Intel has replaced it with the 2670QM which is very similar but 200-300Mhz faster. You're seeing the 2630QM disappear from configurations as stock runs out since Intel is not longer making them.

Is the performance difference between 2630QM and 2670QM much lower than between 2670QM and 2760QM? From the looks of benchmarks it seems to be around 10% for both cases. However, from real world tasks like rendering a video would it be larger?

Any good information on the MSI 16F2 models? Cant find much online but it looks like one hell of a laptop.

Comes with nVidia GTX 570M for around the same price as the sager np8130.

    3. so what if I don't have OS installed? no burn-in test is performed??? I thought
it is a standard procedure to perform a thorough QA/testing before shipment.
I'm a bit worried right now, my package had just been shipped yesterday...

Yeah I think one of the reps answered this already.

They can test the hardware i think but cant run benchmarks/stress test without an OS installed.
