    Hey
    Just wondering who has tips to extender "gaming" laptops battery life.
    i know about undervolting the CPU but what else?
    I know people have got 3 hours out of the 8662, how would they do that?

    the CPU and Videocard can be undervolted and throttled (performance on demand)

    for the videocard, people like using Nibitor.

    just make sure you backup your old VBIOS before flashing it with the one you modify.

    and remember to test in small increments and test for stability.

    Is there a guide on backing it up? I can do it but I rather follow a guide and not mess up my new laptop by forgetting a step

    Disable your CD drive if you don't use it!

    I've said this before, and I've recommended it to friends. On lower powered laptops it's gotten some of my friends a full HOUR of battery life.

    Go into device manager, and just disable the drive completely so it never spins and looks for a disk.
