Thats probably why it gets that high on load. I'm pretty sure those temps will drop when you use fn+1. There's a reason high fan mode is there.

I've owned a 5793 for a tad over a month. The disk drive was getting a little warm for my tastes at first, but I fixed it by getting a Zalman NC2000. Other than that one tiny problem, I've no complaints on the hardware. Vista is occasionally a pain, but that's a whole 'nother subject.

My wife owns a sager np 3760 bought May 2004. It is rock solid and has only recently had problems. HD died about a year ago due to heat according to a sager rep. And the charging system went in may...$150 fix. The screen has intermittent signal problems, it goes blank or I get a pixel color show...but I think only beause Sager had to replace the screen after she shut a pen in it, and i dont think the connection wasnt quite seated right after it was repaired.
I own an NP 2090 that i bought in November...after replacing the mistake of an HP I bought just a year before. Again, rock solid so far. Only problem I have is the mic is too crappy to use on Skype, or for voice recognition (Rosetta Stone). Also, the AC adapter died after I plugged it into a sketchy outlet. But I was BLOWN AWAY by sager tech support. When was the last time you called tech support and they answered "Hello, [insert company here] how can I help you?"
We are shopping around for a new notebook for her, not because of any problems with the 3760 but just for something new. Either going to go with the 2096 or the 7680. hows that for brand loyalty?? -

well...my Sager 9750 is still cooking along, so to speak...
Received it around Jan 2006 and infact, I did a review of my 9750 here at NBR since I was one of the early adopters of the first dual core laptops back then.
So far, the 7200 RPM 100Gb HDD died, replaced that with a Seagate 160Gb. The biggest stability improvement was to replace my Apacer (original) memory modules with better Kingston ones (thanks Gophn) and my 9750 has been super stable ever since.
I had a massive cleanout of the CPU and GPU copper sinks, you can't believe how much dust accumulates there and I REALLY wish the notebook designers would consider sensible removable panels so we can access these spots without having to do an AS5 everytime I wanted to clean my CPU copper heat pipes. Grrrrh!
And my 9750 GPU was cleaned last weekend to remove the crud in there.
I'll tell you what, if someone was a n00b with no idea about maintaining their laptops, their Sager would FRY within a year! I also cleaned my wifey's Dell XPS M170 and it was a mess there as well. However, to (Clevo's)Sagers credit, at least my 9750 doesn't require removing 50 screws, 6 connectors, display, keyboard to get to the innards. WTF Dell!
Still alive and kicking. -
have had my sager NP9262 for bout 7 months now. so far no dramas at all. altough i have dropped mine and its has now got a dent on the top front right hand speaker.

I bought my Clevo M570RU in september 2007.
Worked perfectly untill last month: it constantly crashes now (BSOD on Vista) with errors relating to memory management and page faults. Memory tests show problems with the RAM, but I'm not 100% convinced since after rebooting, often other hardware gets an exclamation mark in the control panel.
I'll probably arrange for it to go in for warranty somewere next week if possible, and I'll tell them to check everything thouroughly. It'll be gone for 4 weeks -
