    To everybody who owns a M860TU / NP 8660 I have a simple question:

    - What resolution did you pick? (1680x1050 or 1920x1200)??

    - Are you happy with your choice?

    Many thanks

1680x1050. Smaller is deadly for your eyes although you get used to it after a while. Then after, every monitor you see seems to have a bigger resolution :p I'm happy with my choice.

1680x1050. I love it. It's perfect. I never tried glossy before but now I love it over matte anyday. The colours are rich and vibrant and I don't know what this glare everyone is talking about. I hardly see it any more I do a normal screen and its not distracting at all.

1680x1050 getting used to it at last. i have to change the resolution when brousing as its quite small print (blind in one eye) so im glad i didnt get the 1200. for gaming i find it not as bright as the m15x screen but im getting used to it.

I went with the 1680x1050 too but if there would have been an option for 1400x900 or something like it I'd have taken that one. I still find the screen lower quality than most computers I had but is in the acceptable range :).

And I had to change the resolution to make it readable, the biggest res is quite tough on the eyes from a normal reading distance for some websites.

But on the plus side I have an absolutely perfect monitor, where as some complaints have been made about the glossy one.

Also, I can use my computer outside, even in the day. Although its tough to see(on a sunny day), if its shady enough it's do able.

Same and agree with all of the above. 1680 isn't bad except I get squinty if I lean back in my chair (2+ ft away). The machine runs games perfectly at this resolution, by the way (another reason to possibly not get the higher res). This is a very minor issue, and easily fixable by increasing font size in, say, firefox ;)
