Hey guys, just got my new NP9150 and I love it all except for one thing.. There is no middle click on the touchpad!! I've tried creating a registry entry that allows using the left+right mouse button, but I can't stand that..

Does anybody know how I could get the two-finger tap middle click function on this synaptics device? Maybe another compatible driver..?

    What exactly do you mean?

In web browsers you can do Control + click, and it functions as a middle click?

I'm just looking for a driver or something that would allow me to two-finger touch the touchpad as middle click.
And ctrl+click has limited functionality, not to mentions that's mainly just in web browsers :(.

? You just install synaptics drivers that CAME with your notebook.

Sorry if I'm not explaining correctly - the driver that CAME with my notebook does NOT have a middle click function. I am looking for a driver or utility that would allow this function on my new laptop

Thank you for the replies, but I found the solution. For anybody else wondering how to get 2 finger tap middle click on their Sager NP9150 (or other) notebook using a Synaptics Touchpad, here are the steps I took:

This is a per-user registry setting
    • Run regedit
    • Go to key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\synaptics\SynTP\TouchPadPS2\
    • Edit the 2FingerTapAction (or 3FingerTapAction if you desire)
    • Change the value to 4 for middle click
    • Log off and log on again - you should now have 2 finger tap middle click

    Thanks!
Unfortunately, there is some lag in between the tap and the touchpad's response, and it doesn't always catch it.
So far I'm not a fan of Synaptics drivers :\
