How does one get them to function?

I've installed the synaptics drivers (on Windows 7) but the only area it responds to is the main touchpad, the left and right lower regions around the fingerprint reader are unresponsive.

I've tried drivers from the CD, Clevo, and Sager, they all don't seem to acknowledge that the M860TU doesn't have actual buttons... am I missing something obvious?

    edit: please delete me

I spent the last day and a half in frustration. I spent the last 5 minutes laughing at myself.

There I was too afraid to depress the buttons thinking it was a touch sensor like the pad...

What a riot that was until I realized that no where is this mentioned on the forums, manual, product specs, or anywhere else on the web... I must've been the only one

So wait, you thought that it was something of a censor? Not an actual button?

In short, he thought his left and right click were part of the touchpad sensor.

Don't worry, you haven't been the first to ask about it.

    yep :)

in another interesting update (but less related), has anyone else noticed that enabling Tap Zones and setting one to " send a double left button click" triggers the screen dim function?
some sort of weird interplay between the synaptics and hotkey driver...
