    Hey everyone,

I have been using a Sager NP8130 for about a year now. I'm very happy with the machine and I haven't had a problem until recently.

I have been having troubles with shutting down, rebooting, and putting my computer to sleep mode. Performing any of these functions at times will result in a black screen that requires me to manually power off the system. This problem has also appeared in both Win7, Ubuntu, and any diagnostic/live cds.

I cannot pinpoint the origin of this issue. The laptop is the base NP8130 (i7 2630qm, GTX 560m) . The only change made after delivery was the wireless card, which I swapped out for another one due to signal issues a week after I received the system.

I have attempted to reflash the system in hopes that the problem lied in the BIOS. I used the BIOS ISO image found here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/556299-clevo-bios-older-models.html, under the 8130/8150 heading. I used the ISO version of "SAGER versions for BIOS V 1.01.14 & EC/KBC V 1.00.13." However, I had no luck in fixing the problem.

It looks like (from moderate usage) that there are no other problems with the system. What can I do to fix my shutdown/sleep issue?

    Thanks in advance.
