    Trying to get Sleep mode on lid close working 100% of the time with NP8660/m860tu and win7

    Am i doing some thing wrong or is my hardware/bios in need of a look at... im running 185.26 drivers in windows7 .. and my sleep mode seems to only work mabye once.. then next time i close the lid it will just restart the laptop <_>

    any one have any ideas.. its killing my poor laptops HDD and softwares.

    Use 182.06 or 182.08; I haven't had Windows 7 sleep issues with either of these. Your Win 7 gaming will improve as well. Skip Dox with this OS.

    EDIT: I've had my closing the lid set to 'do nothing', and my power button set to induce sleep, but I just tested Sleep on lid close, and it woke up without a problem.

    do u think 182.08 is fine to use with a non quadro card?

    mabye ill change my sleep to use button... ponder...............

    Yeah, I used .08 for a while, and saw no difference from .06; I think it just added Quadro support.

    I'm sticking with .06 for now.

    i have found .08 to still have sleep mode failing 50% of the time ... going to try .06 ... hope it works M_M

    I haven't found any perfect nvidia drivers for windows 7.... :/ Even ones that install fine (a lot don't, win7 just kicks the drivers out essentially after reboot ;)) give me glitches sometimes. I wouldn't be surprised if the sleep mode is completely due to driver issues (you are right clicking on the nvidia installer and setting it to install in Vista compatibility mode, right?)
