Ok, Got the NP9380-S, and I've gone as far as getting the screws for the keyboard off, all 5 of them. My current problem is how to get the actual thing off. I thought it was as simple as lifting the thing off and disconnecting the connectors that are still intact, but I can't even get it off. It seems that the sides of the keyboard are actually go into the sides of the laptop but the picture on the service manual shows otherwise.
I'm getting scared of pulling the keyboard up further as I keep thinking that I'd break it physically.
Also, am I just supposed to lift the keys? When I tried to lift the keyboard, it felt like I was also pulling on some sort of board. Is that the reason I'm having difficulty removing the keyboard?
I'm trying to move my mini-sata ssd from the bottom of the laptop into the slot under the keyboard, and it's the only roadblock I have. Am I supposed to pull the whole thing up? Am I supposed to push somewhere? I don't get where the resistance is coming from.

i could be wrong but it might be put together similar to the 15.6" sager line. http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...disable-touchpad-backlight-p157sm-np8250.html

It pretty much says, get to the keyboard's screws, remove them, lift the keyboard up and disconnect the LED and Keyboard cables.
Problem is, I'm trying to pull the thing up, and it won't budge. I already removed all 5 of the screws that the manual said to remove.

I've successfully removed it. Apparently I had to pop the sides out, and they were putting up some pretty good resistance to it. When I put it back, I even had to push the sides down, instead of just letting it settle just so everything's flat. I've put the SSD into the slot too. Everything seems to be running good. Thanks. -

Yes there are tabs on the side to help secure it down and improve typing quality.

It does require a little bit of force to remove it, unlike some of the models where the keyboard lifts out with no force required. It's sturdy too, though you should still be careful with it so as to note bend it or damage the cables accidentally.
