I'm about to order either a NP8268-S or a NP8278-S through Xotic PC. But I have two questions in mind
1) NP8268-s and 78-s seem to have the very same price since the 78s has the mSATA as an extra which covers up the price difference. So what's the difference between them? Only the screen? Why would someone get a smaller screen for the same price? There's a building quality difference maybe?
2) 120GB Crucial M5 mSATA SSD - Preconfigured as an OS Drive ( Operating System Drive C: )
120GB Crucial M5 mSATA SSD ( Storage Drive )
Could someone explain the difference between these two? Please consider I have no idea what they mean![]()
Thanks a lot

Smaller systems are more portable and weigh less.
1st drive has the os installed on it if you get one, the second will be configured for data (empty). -
1. Yes that's the only difference, some people prefer smaller form factor for portability.
2. The first option means it will be set to the primary drive ( C: ) and it is where the operating system will be installed. The second option would ser it to just a storage device and the 1tb hdd would be the C drive. -
I picked the smaller 15 inch over the 17 inch as I had to carry my computer around with me all the time. (One of the reasons I can't get a desktop.) But that's just me. Some people prefer a bigger screen.
