I’ve had my 5720 for almost a week now. I notice when using MSWord when I was typing the cursor would end up in different places. I thought it was me getting used to a smaller keyboard, maybe hitting the arrow keys etc... I turned off the touchpad, and it seems to type without problems now.

    Anyone else experience this?

absolutely. Numerous times while typing ill accidently touch the touchpad and it will send my cursor to somewhere in the middle of my text as i continue to type away without realizing it. Main problem is because the touchp;ad is so sensitive.

Fn+F1, which i guess you already knew, turns the touchpad off, I use it every time I write a report or so, so i dont mess up my entire paper that way.

Also, you can go into your elantech touchpad properties box, go to touchpad options, and can chose the "disable when typing" option, this will disable your touchpad while your typing, and up to a second or so after you halt your typing, so you dint accidently tap the touchpad.

Yeah, that's because you were hitting the touchpad when you were typing. You don't even have to actually hit it to get it to move. It's nice that Sager included an option with the Fn key to turn it off. I'll have to try that and see if it works on my 5320, thanks for the tip!
