not necessarily the laptop itself. But I guess I only had a upgrade version of win 7 ult so the usb iso i used doesn't really work in a way. trying to youtube how to reformate the drive and everything is just horrible :(

Now i hope my win 7 i got with sony works so I can just update from that. Also i'm starting to think it was stupid of me to have the primary HDD replace the dvd drive. having that would make life easier :(

SSD was easy to install thank god. I didn't know I needed to install all drivers lol. took me a while to figure out that.

*currently im still restarting windows 7 to be home version...

but on a serious note that I could use some help on is. my HDD isn't showing in "my computer" the ssd I installed is but not my HDD. I saw it in the bios and everything. The HDD came pre-installed in the dvd drive for me.

shoulda just got win 7 pre-installed with the computer. ugh hate my life

Post is very confusing but I may try to help.

    1. There is a way to clean install with an upgrade key. Simple registry fix. Google it and it will show up, it's not an official method so I'm not going to post links.

    2. Type diskmgmt.msc in the start menu, and you must initialize and assign a drive letter to the HDD that will show up in the disk manager, and it will start working as a storage drive.

sorry about that... I was really frustrated with 10 things going wrong.

So far I got win 7 downgraded to Home version everything is working. the only thing I am having trouble with now is I am kind confused with what drivers I need. I got my video driver and wireless driver... I saw a list posted by anthony and on sager website but things like "touch pad" works fine. So don't know why i need a driver for that

most if not all the components of the sager models have built in windows drivers so they would work upon a fresh install, however installing the manufacturer's drivers opens up more options and configurations.

like for the touchpad it would be the different gestures you could set.

GPU would be the Catalyst control center and better optimizations.

finger print reader if for the locker, password management and fingerprint logon.

sound card for thx, realtek options for surround sound.

USB 3 as well is probably one of the most important but overlooked driver installations out there :p

Sounds like you got most the stuff figured out. For drivers just use the ones on the disc included. If you still need help tomorrow you know where to find me :)
