Just wondering who are some of the best UK sager resellers? I checked the faq thread but the first one i clicked on went out of business so i think that be a bit dated. Got a friend over in the uk looking to get a new laptop.

Anyone done any business with pcspecialist? Their reseller rating looks good. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them?

Yes some have... and some have not. They have a reputation above average I would say.
There are quite the amount of reviews up on these forums you should use the search button :) Anyways here is one: http://forum.notebookreview.com/sag...evo-p150hm-pcs-vortex-ii-15-review-rebel.html

Besides PCSpecialist has a forum of their own, check it up :)

P.S. Sadly PCSpecialist hasn't got their P150EM up and running, with the exception of the P170EM (the Vortex III). The above resellers (PWNPC) has both, they are from the UK too, check it up mate ;)

Scott, will you be selling the 11" as a barebones when it is released?

Yes. I'm going to do my best to sell everything also as barebones as there seems to be a lot of demand for it. You can also buy barebones from us and send us whatever it is you're going to put in it and we'll assemble and test it.

Regarding PC specialists, I deal with them from time to time and really can't say a bad word about them!

What size? AFAIK the AMD cards won't support switchable.

The big boy, P270WM3, will do Nvidias with no optimus. Out of interest why don't you want optimus?

just seen lots of problems with it on here since its release. got 3 clevo lappys for work also with 555 optimus.
unless the problems have been ironed out now with newer cards and technology.

Thats great thanks Scott! I will keep an eye on your site then. Also contemplating the P150 barebones once the 660m is out. Great to see a uk supplier of barebones finally.

That's a shame, assume you've got the latest Nvidia and Intel drivers?

Good to hear! We can't quite compete on price with some of the others so we have to do it on range, services, our clean-drivers-updated-ready-to-game-installs and pretty much just bend over backwards for every customer. As soon as we get the 660ms they'll be up on the site.

Theres more to it than a small price difference, are you the sort that gets your hair cut at a barber and wears only Primark clothes? Coz I like to look gooood.. :D

normally if a reseller ships to various countrys then they also offer the correct mains adapter.

the uk keyboard has a much bigger return key and also £ sign is normally missing and a few other keys like 2 & @ are swapped round.

The 1st input power cord you mention is usually designed to handle 150W PSU (the female connector is smaller) while the 2nd one is meant to be used with 180W PSU so you should always get the latter with a 180W PSU from any resellers.

edit: of course you will get the right power cord with the correct plug for your country.
