I still haven't ordered a laptop (can't decide between the 9750 or the 5760). But I have some questions about UPS delivery.
What if there is nobody home when UPS delivers the laptop? Does UPS leave a note saying "You can pick up your parcel at this or that location" or "We will try delivering again tomorrow at this or that time"?
Or do they leave the parcel on your doorstep? I'm in Canada, do any Canadians on here know if you have to sign for it when they deliver the laptop?
Finally, before handing over the box do you have to pay them for any GST & PST on the laptop; or do they send you a bill for that later on?

dont know about the taxes and such, but they will leave you a note saying they tried to deliver it and it will either say they will try again at such and such a date/time or they will tell you where you can pick it up. they will not leave it unless someone signs for it

They will leave a note on your door as long as the shipper (as most do) requires signature for delivery. If the shipper fails to do this; UPS will leave the package on the front step. If your not home they will state a date on the note when they will make the next attempt for delivery. They will also provide the address on this note of the facility where the package can be picked up in the evening.
They will require payment for taxes at the time of delivery.
