TLDR: Mouse stops working after a few hours of playing games on my BRAND NEW Sager NP8265-S

    Detailed version:
After a few hours, my mouse (Razer Naga Epic) will turn on/off/on/off/on/off and stop functioning.

    Doesn't work:
Switching to another USB port on the same Hub.
Switching to another mouse (Logitech G600)

    What does work:
    Restarting computer.
Switching to another USB hub (If I'm using 3.0, switch to 2.0 or if I'm using 2.0 I switch to 3.0)

OTHER NON-MOUSE DEVICES AREN'T IMPACTED AT ALL.

That last part throws any of my guesses out the window. If I hook a keyboard up to the "busted" ports, they work fine. If I hook up my Astro A50 (Audio) to the ports, it sounds fine. Drives work. Even my USB cooler works. Mice don't.

(I don't have all of these devices plugged in at once. This problem occurs even when ONLY my mouse is connected.)

Problem is experienced in both stock Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and a clean install of Windows 8. I don't have a Windows 7 key to try it on.

...I got nothin'. Anyone have even the faintest clue? Even a small lead is more than I've got right now. And Sager's scratching their head.

I kind of picked up from the context that you tried more than one kind of mouse? Any drops/pickups in wireless internet connectivity at the same time?

Try running Linux. If you make a live dvd, you don't even need to install it.

What if you just use the Logitech G600, does it still happen? How many, and what usb devices do you have installed? Try just the mouse, nothing else.

Does it still happen if you just let the computer sit for a few hours, without using the mouse much or without any programs running?

I've had funky issues using a hub to power my gaming mouse on another brand of machine with an ivy bridge chipset, it may be a thing with the intel USB controller, you could double check your power settings.
