    Hi

I just received my Sager NP8170 form xotic.

I already had Win 7 Home ultimate licence with me so I had ordered one without OS.

My old laptops dvd is not working so i used USB to install.

After selecting language, i click on install but it shows the message that unable to find drivers for cd/dvd ...

I have already checked the boot sequence.

Please suggest what to do as I am unable to install win 7 on my laptop.
    Thanks

Please try using the USB installer in one of the black USB 2.0 ports. That error is common if you try installing it with the USB 3.0 ports, as Windows will not have the drivers for them :)

    Hi Malibal 2

Thanks. that was indeed the case.

I am now using USB 2, it shows loading files.

my only concern is that it is too slow. i mean its 10 mins now but the bar is just at the start.

Is it normal? How much time sshould it take?

It depends on the drive being used. As long as it hasn't frozen up, you have nothing to worry about. It will finish pretty quickly (typically less than 30 minutes) :)
