Uninstalling Clevo Control Center is the only thing that fixes crashes. A few questions.

I'm not too tech savvy, so please bear with me. I have an Eluktronics branded P650HS-G. I was getting a bunch of dgpufix.exe crashes according to the Windows Reliability Monitor. I uninstalled that and the frequency of crashes has gone way down. However every once in a while I get a loud buzzing noise followed by a reboot with no BSOD when gaming. It used to show up as dgpufix.exe in the reliability monitor but now the monitor shows nothing except a "windowd did not shut down correctly."

The frequency of crashes has gone way way down since deleting dgpufix.exe but they still happen once in a while. However a few days ago I uninstalled Clevo Control Center completely and now I get no crashes at all.

Is there any issue with doing this? Throttlestop shows my temps are still in a decent range despite CCC not controlling the fan profiles anymore (is there anything I can do besides FN+1 -- like setting it to OC without the CCC or something?). Is there anything else I need to worry about? Everything seems to work okay but I'm not sure if there's something I'm not thinking of. I'm new at this / troubleshooting in general, so any kind of advice you have for me would be appreciated.

 

I had also had problem with DGPUFix.exe, SynTP BSOD until last Sunday.



1. Disable Windows auto driver installation - link
2. Run laptop in MSHybrid mode (on Intel graphics). Reboot twice (I've noticed, that when switching from Discrete to MSHybrid MSI Afterburner recognizes Nvidia GPU after second boot).
2. Use Revo Uninstaller to remove:
- Synaptics software
- Control Center
3. Use DDU to uninstall Nvidia drivers.
4. Reboot twice.
5. Install Visual C++ Redist using Obsidian Tools (in Others tab) with NBR license
6. Install Control Center from ControlCenter_180122.zip
7. Install Synaptics driver from Touchpad_180122.zip
8. Use Fix SynTP BSOD in Obsidian Tools or manually delete HKKbdFltr and HKMouFltr in UpperFilters in regedit (F3 -> HK..) so it looks like this ( OP):

9. Install latest Nvidia drivers.

This worked for me. No BSOD nor DGPUFix errors so far.

 

Thanks. So, I have a GSYNC display so I can't switch to onboard graphics. Not sure how that changes your instructions. In any case I applied some updated alpha or beta --in any case unreleased-- drivers that Clevo sent me and I'm no longer having BSOD issues from the filter / SynTP. I'm sort of scared to do anything else right now. I haven't had a crash or BSOD in days so I think I'll leave it all alone as long as it's okay not to use CCC.

 

When you switch to MSHybrid using CC, GSync will be simply disabled and the refreshrate of your screen will be 60 Hz (max for integrated graphics). SynTP error is bothering people for few years now and they still didn't bother to release drivers?
