I have tried to unlock my bios using these 2 apps unfortunately when i go to flash i get an error unable to start a secure flash. Ive tried everything from an old afu or even dos afu or afu on windows. Looked all over the internet and tried fptw64 10 version for win 10 still no go. Im looking to see if anybody has been successful of unlocking the bios in this fashion? I really need a UEFI unlocked bios for win 7, setup my memory to its 3000mhz potential and undervolt my cpu from the bios. Currently my style note doesnt even have csm compatibility option. Current bios is 1.05 if anybody has an updated version i welcome that as well.I appreciate any help. I also have issues with a lag on my keyboard i like to fix and i have read its been fixed with premabios if anybody else know a workaround that be great.

Disable Secure Boot in the Bios.
If that doesn't work, disable secure boot and then do a search on how to use UEFItool, universal IFR extractor, to find the "Bios Lock" variable command, and then disable it by booting to an EFI prompt. There are several EFI shells you can boot to that allow you to change the status of "Bios Lock" to disabled by using a setup_var command (the hex code offset for Bios Lock must be known, and can be found by looking at the txt file created in IFR extractor).
You'll have to do some searching yourself. A few guides have been posted on the MSI section.
basically:
dump your APTIO bios capsule with FPTw64 -d biosname.rom -bios
Run UEFItool on it and extract the main setup header. I think you can find the setup header by searching for "Bios Lock" in UEFItool, double clicking the result and then extracting that entire setup header into a bin file
then run universal IFR extractor on that bin file and extract it to a text file, where you can get the hex offset for Bios Lock. Then you have to boot to an EFI shell to disable it. Once that's disabled then you can flash it with FPTW64. You need to do your own research on the exact steps. And I take no responsibility if you brick something and didn't study up on how to recover, or if you don't have an EEPROM SPI programmer at hand. -

Basically this is not an easy path you have started down. Do Intel xtu or the bios not have some memory frequency and timing controls?

Let the pros handle these kinds of things rather than doing it yourself especially without a programmer.JCordero31 likes this. -
I am happy to say it has been resolved now to undervolt and oc.
