I am not sure if my laptop has a PCMCIA slot or an Express card? The reason being is I plan to buy an external sound card because I have a 5.1 speaker set now, and my current output has no sub/center + rear outputs. (At least I think i dont, I only have blue, Green, Pink and Black(digital?).

    Sager NP5790 Specifications

It has the Express Card slot, and 7.1 Surround Sound support. You don't need an external audio card.

    Please also consult your manual.
