Will the upcomming refresh notebooks have smaller power bricks? I am mostly talking about the refresh of np8150 that is comming in 2012. The one it has now is way too huge, or are there smaller third party adaptors that can replace it?
I am a student and have to carry my laptop to school everyday, and I would prefer a lighter power supply. I have a np8660 and the power brick is way bigger than all my classmates power bricks. They get suprised everytime they see it. And from the pictures that I have seen, the np8150 is even bigger like 1.5x the size of the one I have now.
Thanks in advance!

Just whip out the line to your classmates, "my bricks bigger than yours"

Yes, it's huge.
This link op mentioned some smaller 150w compatible ac adapters.

I don't think any information has been released yet about smaller adapters. The technology is there, but that doesn't mean that Clevo will spend money on that technology.
As for compatible third party adapters, targus does have a universal 180w adapter, but I think it's safest to use the oem adapter. -

It seems a lot of the lighter weight adapters sacrifice the quality internals and also can't hit or sustain the same wattage that the stock models can.
