    Hello,

I updated my BIOS today with an ISO sent to me by my reseller. I am now updated to BIOS 1.00.07LS1 and KBC\EC 1.00.05.

After updating, I am now being told that my Windows is not genuine! I get a pop up message when the computer first starts, and a persistent message on the bottom right of the screen that says:
    Windows 7
    Build 7601
This copy of windows is not genuine

I've emailed my reseller and am awaiting a response. In the meantime, anyone have any ideas?

Never mind, figured it out. Just had to retype in my product key and all is well. Not sure why the bios update caused this problem, but typing in the product key underneath the laptop fixed it.

Sometimes Windows will do that when it sees major hardware changes. Since you changed the BIOS it could have though it was a whole new motherboard. They do that to prevent it being installed on multiple computers.
