I'm trying to update the drivers to my WiFi card. During the process I keep getting an error that says: the following applications are using files that need to be updated by this setup. Close these applications and then click retry to continue the installation or exit to exit setup.
The program is: Windows host process (rundll32) (process id 3376)
Has anyone seen this? The card is currently working on the old drivers I got from my Sager disc. I've googled it and tried to stop it manually through task manager......

Try booting up the machine in safe mode (hit F8 before the Windows load screen, but after the POST). You can do the driver install there, hopefully without the conflict. Also, here is a link to the newest drivers if you don't have them:

Thanks for the help and reply. I was able to install the driver in safe mode; tried to install the larger file with the software but kept being told windows installer was unavailable (I believe in safe mode)....What about the bluetooth software? Is that automatically updated too?

No, the bluetooth software is a separate installer. If you're still running into issues you can just uninstall the wireless drivers in safe mode and they'll hopefully install normally in Windows (without Safe mode)

Update:
Last night I wiped the HD clean and did a fresh install of Windows 7. Prior to, I had put the latest drivers for mostly everything I need on my external HD. After the OS installed, I updated everything without issue and I only used the Sager disc for a few drivers........
Basically between downloading drivers and benchmark programs....I got a malware (Rundll32 (It was not the legit windows version)) that was not letting me update the drivers or unistall select programs (I did not have any malware protection installed).
Now everything is working as should. Thanks for the help and replies!
