First of all, I want to say thanks for putting together such a great source of information. I have been using the information to take the steps necessary to upgrade my m570ru. Currently my system is configured with a t7300, 2gb ram, the wuxga glossy display and a 7950m gtx and I am hoping to upgrade the video card. I have previously flashed my bios to 1.00.08 in hopes that 8800m gtx prices would drop. Also, I flashed fan bios and I have the s3 incapable board. I have searched through the forums here and found some discussions about installing a 9800m gt or 9800m gts in a m570ru and was hoping to get confirmation that this is possible and if it is where I can find a good deal on a card. Also, can the 7950m gtx heat pipe be used with the 9800m cards?

    Thanks in advance,

    :D

Welcome to the NBR forums. :)

you can upgrade your notebook to a 8800M or 9800M without issues.

the heatsink/pipe caging might need a replacement if your current one does not properly fit the newer cards.

contact a vendor to purchase the heatsink/cage kit together with the 8800M/9800M card.
