I ordered mine yesterday and I'm still on phase 1. Considering it's 10am on launch day, it might take a while for them to get going.

No I mean I have a 5792.... is there going to be a upgrade package offered to go go up to the 5796?
-
Or from a 5793 to a 5796 for that matter. It would be nice to know if Sager is going to offer such an upgrade and at what price, etc.

to early to ask.

They would have to change the mobo, and the chassis to i would think to get the dd3 ram, montevina. The Chassis change for the HDMI and Esata port.

@Garandhero, for 5792 -> 5796, the only things you probably gonna keep are the screen, hard drive and battery. might be cheaper if you can just sell it and buy a new one.

It might be your only choice to get the 5796 if Sager doesn't give any upgrade options. I'd recommend buying a barebone of the system and salvaging your hard drive and (maybe) your processor. Then you just need to buy some DDR3 and you'll be getting it for much less than a pre-built.
Note: I'm not sure if that processor would be compatable. You should call Sager and ask if you plan on doing what I said above. -

The processor should be compatible as there are some ASUS "Montevina" models that are still using the "Penryn" version CPU's.

Wow Justin. Really, your response times are crazy.
So much rep to you for keeping on top of all this. -
