    So as my signature states I have a Clevo/Sager P170EM | Intel Core i7 2630QM | AMD 8970M | 8GB 1333MHz | 250GB Corsair SSD | 500GB HDD | 6X Blu-ray Burner

I am trying to consider whether the best option is to replace it or update it... I have had some issues with is as originally I purchased a P170HM but right after the 1 year mark the Motherboard died. I bought a P170EM Case/MB off of RJtech and attempted to get everything going, that worked well for about a year with modded video drivers as it had a 485M, but then the modded drivers stopped working. At this point I purchased the CD that I am using now AMD 8970M, and though it works decently now I am thinking that my initial $2000 investment in 2011, then the new case/MB in 2012 and the new GC in 2013 it is about time to do something else.

So I have a post in the what machine should I buy section of the forums but wanted to reach out the the CLEVO/SAGER people and see what you guys think would be the best bet... update the laptop or buy a new one and attempt to sell the one I have...

    Any thoughts would be helpful.

With the hardware issues you had and fixed aside. How is the performance of your computer now? Is it playing the games you want and overall still a fast computer? If so you may want to hold off a little on it since you have a 8970M in there you wont get a night and day performance change.

But if you can sell your current notebook for a decent price and its not too much out of pocket for a new one..... then yah :)

It does play games really well, just the only major problem I have is that it randomly freezes and I have to restart the machine. I am not sure why it does that but with everything I have dealt with this machine so far I am thinking of hanging up my hat on Clevo... Yet as you mentioned selling this for a decent price, I am not sure what I could get for it. Everything works fine, but just randomly freezes that once i restart it, there is no problems and it isnt regular it happens maybe twice a week but it is frustrating,
