    Hi,

Can anyone help with a list of upgrade parts for Sager NP5760?

    I have a Sager NP5760/Clevo M570u. The specs are:
    Intel T2500 @ 2.00 GHz
Nvidia GeForce Go GTX 7950 256 bit
    Kensington 1 GB RAM

What I’m looking for is a list of parts to upgrade to. I’ve even heard of a Quad Core CPU that will work in a Core Duo motherboard (however I think that is for motherboards that are built to do so)

I am also desperately looking for a DVD Rom that will fit. Are the face plates on DVD ROMs interchangeable? I need one with the cut out corner on it.

I’ve been searching the web for months for a list of upgrade parts with no avail.

Can someone please help? Thanks in advance, This forum has been very helpful in the past.

Welcome to the NBR forums. :)

you can still do some upgrades on your system, but dont expect too great of a performance boost sine you are limited by the chipset/platform of your model.... which is:
    - mobile Intel 945 chipset (Napa platform)

CPU: you can go up to Core 2 Duo T7600
RAM: up to ~3GB of DDR2 (due to chipset limitation)
Videocard: you already have it maxed to 7950GTX (Clevo mdule)

you can gain some performance by simply just upgrading the RAM to at least 2GB.

the CPU upgrade might not do too much for you (unless if you do CPU intensive work.... rendering/converting), but it might be worth it if you can get it for cheap

your system should still be a good gaming system... it still outperforms current mid-range (Nvidia 9600M/ATI HD 3600) notebooks easily.
