I've got the 25w P9500 and have just purchased an X9100 CPU @ 44w. Currently, I'm averaging about 2 hours to the battery. What could I expect my battery life to lower down to? And I'd assume I can scale the CPU down in frequency and voltage using RM Clock when I wanted the extra battery?

What is the thermal paste that ships with the system? The stuff I got is in chineese and looks pretty generic. I've got a tube of Thermalright Chill Factor. If the stuff that came with the system is AS5, or course I'd rather use AS5, but if its not AS5, I"d rather use the Chill Factor.

Probably battery will fall down to 1:30 hrs with the X9100.
(You can find out the discharge rate, etc in RMClock when on battery)
Don't run intensive tasks when "on battery".
Yes, you can downclock and undervolt using RMClock or CrystalCPUID.
All thermal pastes are fine, but AS-5 is slightly better, and gives good temps after the break-in period.

From what I've read before, it comes with some generic stuff, not AS5.

I found one on ebay. I'm selling my P9500. I've got an offer for it @ $200.

Possibly keep an eye on what your power block/supply is rated too also, I'm guessing power consumption would go up further if you o/c aswell.

p.s. your PM inbox is full
