    Upgrading Window 8 for Np9150 from xotic pc

    I am planning to upgrade my laptop to window 8 pro. I read around the forum and seeing many people saying that the stock bios is not supported for upgrading to window 8. Also on the bios thread the latest bios i see is SAGER EC/KBC V 1.00.08 & BIOS V 1.00.10. and i see many people saying only the version EC10 and Bios 14 support window 8. If so is it official from sager? Where can i download it?
    Is there any np9150 owners out there that upgraded their window to window 8. Do you guys have any problem with vbios and video card drivers and other drivers. Is it recommanded now for an upgrade?

    P.S i haven't update any drivers since i receieved my laptop. They are all stock. I don;t have any problems that why i do not bother upgrading them.

    I bought it on july. Btw my version is Np9150EM. Sager website does not offer latest bios. I called them and ask they reply saying waiting until next week for window 8 bios.

    Is it safe to upgrade to win 8 now or should i wait?

    We can email you an updated BIOS, do be sure you know what you're doing when updating it. You can contact our service dept and they get it for you.

    You can just try installing Windows 8 and see if it works. If not then get the updated BIOS.

    I've upgraded to Win8 (on a partition, with Win7 still in place where it was). At first I had issues getting the video drivers to work (7970m), and had to run a "refresh" of Win8 and try again before they installed properly. Only other issue I've had is that Quickbooks Pro 2010 didn't want to install properly, but that's an issue with Intuit more than Win8. Haven't retried that install since the refresh either. Not sure what BIOS I'm running, I'll try to remember to check.

    I finally update the Bios version 1.02.14 sent from sager and Secure Boot is still unavailable. What is secure boot in window 8 is it important? please explain.
