I just purchased a malibal P151HM1 I really wanted the P150 but was on a tight budget since the holiday is around the corner. I read and saw that there was a way to upgrade from the gtx 560 to a 6970 but I wasn't able to find the answer on how.

All I know currently is the psu will need to be upgraded. Could someone else tell me what else would need to be done? Looking to do this upgrade around spring time or maybe even a 6990 if it gets cheaper.

    Thanks.

The 7970m will be out in january and should see 6950-6970 desktop level performance when overclocked. waiting for that.

Radeon HD 7000M Mobile GPUs Slated For December Launch Tabled | techPowerUp

Wimbledon XT should have more SPs than the HD 6990m with 1120. I am guessing 1536 as it's 3/4 of what the desktop HD 7970 will have, 2048. The hd 6990m had 3/4 the stream processors of a desktop HD 6970, so it kinda makes sense. Also the Wimbledon XT is rumored to score 16000 GPU on 3DMark Vantage. Which is appropriate when compared to the 13000+ that the 6990m can do.
