    Hello,

I'm purchasing a Clevo P170HM laptop, unfortunately the reseller I'm buying from doesn't have any intel Ultimate-N 6300 or the 6230.

I'm currently waiting to hear how long it will take them to get them back in stock, but if it is a while I would like to know if I could do it myself.

Does anyone have any experience on how hard it is to upgrade to this card myself? / where it is located, unfortunately there aren't too many images / videos out there of someone opening up there laptops :p.

    Thanks

The card is located underneath the keyboard, it's fairly easy to swap out yourself.

Refer to these two excerpt from the service manual:

Yeah I ordered one off Amazon since I had a 40 dollar gift card waiting to be used. Bookmarked.

That is awesome atmosk, thank you!

are the cables 2 and 3 (I'm guessing antennae) attached in anyway? I can't see if they are soldered / glued on or if it it is more like a button.

EDIT: Okay according to the reseller the components will be back in stock either Today or Tomorrow, If I don't hear anything by tomorrow evening. I'll update my order accordingly. Now time to find the rest of the guide and play the waiting game :p

The antenna just snap on, kinda like a button so they are pretty easy to remove and put on a new card.

Aha, that is what I thought, but it was a little hard to tell from the image, thanks for clarifying.
