    Hi !
for the "1", it seems to be in UEFI mode ( i think) , and UEFI mode skip BIOS post, so it's not a problem ,
you will just have to press F2 at startup to enter in bios, where you can disable it (to be confirmed ).

for the others, it won't be cheap to replace it all :
    -disc drive : 25€
    -HDD : start to 50€
-wifi card : little hard to find, 30€
battery charger : more than 100€ for both

personally, i wont buy something like this, if it's REALLY cheap, why not, but consider deeply that you will have to put your hand in the mud, or pay 70€ more to let a professional do it.

plus, you don't really know if it work, and can't see it working without all the missing parts.

Thank you alot, for the help so the "1" thing wasn`t a problem? i saw that the person who sell this lap tell me this will not post most of the time but when it does it works fine did have windows 7 installed but had to use the drive as external storage

i can use an external? HDD whit the win 7 instaled?

    He told my this:

    Hi

Yes post does mean boot its more or less the same thing

Or the true terms means posting to bios and booting meaning booting into os windows ect

so it does not post upon turning on most of the time

As stated because of this this laptop is sold as spares or repair

    this can be something bad?

I wouldn't touch this if someone gave it to me for free, much less shell out any money for it. As it stands, the laptop is only good for parts, and even then considering this laptop is at least 5 years old (last C2D came out in 2008 I think), not sure how much useful life you'll get out of it.

If you absolutely have to buy it, I wouldn't pay more than $50 for it.

I don't know, but my point was even if the BIOS problem could be solved, the laptop is probably on its last legs and it would be pointless paying for such a product. I mean, what if the motherboard crapped out on you a month or a week later, what are you gonna do then? Or what if you bought a new optical drive and discovered it wouldn't work because the SATA connector is broken? Too many unknowns and too much risk IMO.

Actually, let me set the bottom line even lower: if you can't get this laptop for $20, don't bother buying this useless piece of crap.

About the Bios, i don't think i really understood the thing, but since it's a C2D, it's not an UEFI bios, so ,it's not the problem i sayed before.
I think that it seems that the laptop have problem booting, and it's not repairable ( only if you can find a spare bios chip and solder it ^^).

I join my voice to other: if it's not given for free, don't buy it, it seems to be in a really bad condition, and the bios failure can result of a motherboard crash.
prefer to buy a 200€ laptop, it will be far more powerfull , and not in multiple pieces. and the final price will be the same ^^ :D

No POST = no self tests at start up.

    P - power
    O - on
    S - self
    T - test

If the computer cannot POST, there is something wrong with the firmware or the main board. Either problem could be difficult to fix; corrupted firmware might be salvageable by updating the BIOS and ECC firmware. If the board is failing then that is a whole different repair.

I think xitox is finding it a little hard to get through his meaning.

It sounds like a repair project when you don't have the expertise to do that, so I would save your money.
