    Hi there,

Wonder if any one has a definitive answer on this - On my CF 7970m p370em, FN +1 seems to do nothing, yet reading some reports here on the forum , people with the same Chassis can spin the fans up at full speed.

As far as i am aware, there has not been a new bios released for the p370em since its release (Maybe i am wrong) , so can some confirm if it can be done on the p370em, or not ?

Would be helpful when temps get high , though i dont seem to have the ridiculous temps that some CFX people do on the p370em

    Paul

think its like all EM models including my P150EM. this option was removed for some reason on most suppliers.

IIRC some bios revisions still have that feature implemented, as opposed to the clevo vanilla releases. was it eurocom, sager and mythlogic i think?

Have the same model as OP and when I press Fn+1, my fans run at full speed. I have the stock BIOS, so I don't think it is a BIOS issue. Maybe you need to install the hotkey driver?

Mine works FN + 1, purchased from XoticPC. When I purchased my laptop I installed a clean OS with a new SSD. I did install all applicable drivers from the CD at first and then updated later. Might want to look at your included driver disc and see if you are missing something.

    According to CPU-Z.

    BIOS
    ---------
    Brand - American Megatrends Inc.
    Version - 4.6.5
    Date - 12/22/2012

    Hope this helps.

Also, make sure the chipset driver is installed (hopefully first) and up to date. I believe there is a silent mode toggle button as well.

Your reseller should be able to hook you up with a modded bios that has Fn+1 functionality if you don't have it.

    Mine did anyway.

fn+1 is definitely bios/EC-based since it works even before windows boots up. so its not driver or hotkey related.

It's in the EC and only Sager still does it on their systems. You can just flash the same version Sager EC, but they have some keys mapped on their keyboards, so you might have to change the key-caps as well....

I have a horize p370em with SLI 680Ms, running into the same heat problems.

Is there any more info about how the Sager flash would affect the other models?

Can anyone please hook me up with a modded version of the original? :D
