I was looking at the Clevo P770ZM and was wondering if it's possible to use one of the M.2 slots for an NVMe drive - e.g., the soon to exist (?) NVMe version of the SM951?

If it's not possible, is there any current laptop in which it is?

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Possible - yes.

Possible the second that the drives are available? Can't say.

I would recommend waiting until the drives have been validated/are available from reputable Clevo integrators before trying it.

Hardware supports it, but current stock BIOS's lack NVMe support...

Thanks to everyone for the info!

Hopefully, the next batch of Clevo machines will be NVMe friendly ... and since upgrading at this time isn't absolutely necessary (even if it's always fun) waiting is probably the smartest thing to do.

    Once again, thanks,

    Paul

Same story with stock BIOS. NVME drives do not show up, but they work otherwise.

not on the ZM machines afaik. prema had to specifically add nvme support, as opposed to the DM series that bring nvme support with stock bios firmware...

How do I make the P750ZM recognise the nvme drive in PciE x4 slot please? Plugged in the 950 Pro today but could not see it anywhere in BIOS. All SATA slots are showing blank even though the drive is plugged in (I’m certain it is the right slot). I’m using the latest PremaMod, all default settings right after flashing. Just plan to install fresh Windows. Thank you.
