I've tested my GTX 285M with VMT as suggested in an old post by Soviet Sunrise of OCCT being notoriously inaccurate in testing the GPU RAM.

When I select CUDA test, everything passes but when I try DirectX, the result is NO PASS COMPLETED. Here is a pic of the DirectX test:

Do you guys experience the same thing? I'm using the latest version of VMT (1.7.116).

    Thanks.

Well, I got the laptop back and they replaced my (seemingly faulty) GTX 260M with a GTX 285M which was very nice. Everything is running fine now. However, they did not replace the mobo and I fear the error will come back after some time. I already have the problem that the laptop shuts itself down if i run prime95 with 8 threads and Furmark, which indicates that the hardware is not getting enough juice (temps are fine). This could be proof that something is wrong with the power circuit of the motherboard (PSU seems to be fine, but I lack the equipment or a spare PSU to really test this). I will do some further testing in January.

I also have another weird problem. Everytime I restart windows it sets my resolution to 1360x768 (I have to set it back to 1080p manually). This is freaking annoying.
