    Hello everyone!

I am looking to sell my Sager NP9380-S and build myself a desktop. I would like to hear what the community thinks my build could be worth.

Two things to note: I have had two issues with the device that I have since resolved.

    1) In order to get the 3D panel to work correctly, I had to install a custom VBIOS and BIOS/ECC. Since doing so I have had 0 issues with performance or drivers.

    2) For a few months I had an issue where my CPU was overheating and I was determined I was having a compatibility issue with Windows 10. As it turns out, the thermal paste I was using had a recall on it. I switched to IC Diamond and I haven't had any heat issues since. Its been applied to both CPU and GPUs.

Other than the above, the laptop is in near perfect condition.

    Build Specifications:

    Xotic PC Sager NP9380-S/Clevo P370SM3

17 inch 3D 120 hertz 72% color gamut matte display (comes with the Nvidia 3D glasses, barely used).
    Intel Haswell 4800MQ 2.8-3.6 GHz
2x8 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3L memory (2133 MHz Kit), will also come with the original 1600MHz 16GB kit
SLI Nvidia 780ms w/ custom VBIOS (4GB VRAM cards)
    1 Samsung 840 PRO 256GB SDD
    2x Samsung 850 EVO 256GB MSATA SSDs
1x Western Digital 500GB 7200 RPM Black Series HDD
    1x BDROM drive
    Intel AC-7260 Wireless Card
Can be shipped with Windows 8.1 or Windows 10
The battery has barely been used, shows 3% ware level in HWMonitor. (I've tried to leave it disconnected as much as possible when connected to power).

For the body, there hasn't been any customizations from Xotic PC, stock body. The device is not currently overclocked and will be shipped without one. It will be shipped without an OS, however I will be providing 2 flash drives. One with a Windows 8.1 image and all the latest drivers and hardware utilities, the other will of course contain the Windows 10 image.

The keyboard is still 100% functional with no signs of ware, the touch pad has never been used but does work. The HDMI, Display port, jacks, and USB ports all function without issue.

I also still have all the disk that were shipped in the box (software and hardware). I still have the original box and paperwork as well.

On a side note, I have been in the PC repair/build industry for 5 years. The device has been handled with care throughout. I have run a full hardware test (QA+Win64) on everything and can send the certified results to any potential buyer.

no expert here as i just picked up my new clevo but from what i know the resell value on clevo machines are quite low as its not known worldwide. It would be best if you could sell it to an enthusiast as well so they can appreciate it and value it properly.

Would help if you had a few pictures of it...

I would however say the range you are looking at is USD 1500-2000..

I'll take some pics tonight and upload the spec snapshots. I'm really hoping to get 2200 for it. The part selection for my desktop build I'm wanting brings me to $1900. I bought the laptop for college, but now that I'm done and have a a baby of walking age I want to get rid of it before accidental terror is unleashed on it.

Im also trying to figure out where the best place to try and sell it would be. I don't think many people would be searching eBay for something like this, and they want a 10% cut. I've never used Craigslist and have only heard of horror stories when people try to sell tech.

The fact that it has a 120 Hz monitor can make it EXTREMELY appealing and I have no doubt you could easily get $2200 USD assuming you find the right buyer who knows about 120 Hz and is willing to pay for it, since 120 Hz is such a rarity these days.

Try selling it at the NBR Marketplace: http://forum.notebookreview.com/forums/nbr-marketplace.18/

Yes, the marketplace is probably the best place for it. And if you put 120hz in the title, that could be helpful for people looking for that exact set up.

I appreciate it everyone! I didn't even know that existed until yesterday. I posted what I was selling and discovered it was deleted today because I haven't met the 100 post requirement. I swear I saw somewhere on the guidelines it was an 80 minimum. I'm also going to be throwing in a Surface Pro 2 that I've never really used to sweeten the pot.

I still have this exact model the NP9380-S - P370SM3. It has been great. The 3D 120 Hz screen is still perfect!

I will be watching for what you get for yours. Hope you get a good fair amount for it... :)

Oh for sure! I've been interested in upgrading the CPU and GPU(to SLI 980M), but I have a soon to be 2 year old that gets in to everything she's not supposed to. I don't want to invest that kind of money and take the chance something happens haha.

If you kept the laptop in the same place as a desktop i don't see much of a difference in risk but yeah, kids (especially at that age) can rip through anything lol.

I thought the same thing until she discovered how easy it is to climb up on my desk. Any time I'm not around I have to pull the chair and put it somewhere else. Plus, I'm interested in building a 4k capable rig (without sweating). I wish notebooks were there but its hard to tell where they'll be performance wise in the next year.

I see what you mean, a desktop can be placed away out of even climbing hands. For 4k it will be interesting to see the benchmarks of the new cards.
