Maybe somebody has experienced this and knows what the.... is going on

I noticed that left arrow key stopped working, then sometimes would work again and the logical assumption was simply a bad key, but then guess what. It never stop working by itself, the Windows key and the Function key stop working too, and whenever it does work all of them work, so it is 3 keys that stop working ( and start working again in unison )

I also noticed that pressing caps lock a few times, then function key will make them start working again. Happened too many times to just be a coincidence.

So, any ideas? Seems more of a software or signal issue somewhere than just bad keys. No way they would stop and start working at exactly the same time if that were the case

By the way this is a 15.6" Clevo from about 6 years ago. Whatever used to be top of the line back then, with a Sharp 4K screen

Could be heat related issue. Does it happen after system has been in use for a while or randomly?

Keyboards do work on a matrix, so if one trace is impacted it would be a set of certain inputs that would not work.

It does not work at all, even right after turning it on. Until it starts working again. It works right now. After a restart and failed windows safe mode I tried to see if it would work while on the windows log in screen and it did, then it continued working until turned off, and today , so far working. This is the longest it has worked in days ( usually it works for 10-15 minutes then stops working

It might be easier to find a replacement keyboard at this point, since you can't easily repair the traces.

Pretty common for keyboards to fail like that, just replace it, because repairing a keyboard membrane is not viable.

Not usually too expensive or hard to do at least.

eBay usually has a good stock or speak to your reseller.
