So I recently bought a P150HM with a defective 6970HM in it, and I baked the card. It seemed to work, however I get low FPS in BF Hardline (20-25 fps), with medium settings at 1600x900, however I get this score in 3Dmark 11 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/9396914
That score seems fairly normal to me? :S Also temps aren't a problem.
I use the newest AMD Omega drivers.

Also just ran Hardline on my GX660R with a 5870M, and it ran much better :S

My CPU usage is swaying around 30-40% the whole time also.

I get no visual artifacts, so it seems weird to me that it would be semi-defective after baking the card, especially while still getting decent scores in 3DMark 11.

EDIT: Just tried another game, which seems to struggle against my older 5870M as well :S

Try to monitor your GPU usage and while you play, it can give useful informations :)
Monitor as well VRAM usage, maybe there is a bottleneck !

GPU usage is 100%, about 1GB VRAM is used. CPU usage is fluctuation between 30-35% :S
Seems like my GPU is bottlenecking the CPU, however it makes no sense, as the GPU should perform much better.
I tried with Win7 and Win8.1, no difference.

Your 3D mark score is Ok by the way ^^
Is your card running at full frequencies (at least 680Mhz in game) ?
Also, maybe the Omega drivers are unoptimized for 6970, try reverting to an older driver ! :)
Also, try on other games like the one tested here : http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-6970M.43077.0.html
It will help to compare your result :)

I would also suggest what Elipsus said about trying different drivers. Give the 14.11.2 Beta's a shot and see if there is any difference.

So in Crysis 2 I get about 8-9 fps where notebookcheck reports 31 FPS on Ultra at 1080p. I also installed the new 14.11.2 Beta drivers :S

EDIT: Even running it at 1366 x 768 is yielding me 15-20fps :S

Do you have the computers power settings to "High Performance"

I dont have much experience with CCC but with Nvidia Cards and in Nvidia Control Panel you can get in there and make sure the game is running off the dedicated GPU. Try to find that in CCC, or maybe someone with CCC can chime in on how to set it so.

The iGPU on the CPU is disabled and is not possible to enable, so it has to be running on the dedicated GPU :S

EDIT: Again, tried with Grid 2 this time, and it struggles badly!

Ah sorry about that, the P150HM did not support Enduro. You could try different drivers, or the baking could have not worked all the way properly to get it back to 100% functional. Baking is a temporary fix, you may want to look into getting a new card if different drivers do not work.

Still makes me wonder why my 3Dmark 11 scores were normal.

EDIT: Just tested with 3Dmark 06, and my score was about 16.000, much lower than the standard of 20.000 for my config. Might try to bake the card again tomorrow.

That is odd, if you run 3DMark 11 now does it still have regular scores? If so try different drivers.
