    Howdy folks-

I'm looking at the Sager NP9280 and the option of the Vidock2 was offered with it.

I'm not interested in the ATI4670 card, and I can't find a spot where it explicitly says you can put in any card. If any PCI-E card works, I'll go grab a 5800 series. Does anyone know?

I like to do some intensive gaming and I like the i7 17" option, I'm just concerned about the lack of SLI or Crossfire card support.

    Thoughts?

Also, is the 280m upgradable in the future? I realize mobile video cards are insanely expensive but the ability to grab something a little nicer in a year would make a big difference in the choice.

    Thanks

Vidock2 has a limitation due to the speed of the pci-e 1x

    so 5800 is a waste on Vidock2.

and the Vidock2 also has a limitation on the power supply.

    and..

IMHO...Vidock2 is not for the user who has a gaming nb.........

Thanks for the feedback...I've been researching quite a bit today and came to that same conclusion. With the massive bottleneck on the PCI-E card port this device seems...limited...at best.
