Hi all,
I bought an NP9262 a few years back and has been working like a dream till a few days ago. One of the graphics card burnt out and am looking for a replacement and am thinking of upgrading the whole system as a project; never messed with internals of a computer till this blew.
My vid cards a geforce 9800m GTX - can i replace them with one out of del laptop, would be same 9800m gtx card. I saw a few on ebay but am hesitating as they say they are dell cards.
Is it possible to replace my internal hardrives with ssd drives? anyone done this with this particular laptop? is it a plug and play procedure or is it very complicated? I presently have computer configured in a raid 5 parity format; no clue what that means or if it even benefitted me but when i bought it is sounded real cool.
regards
scrilla
ps i dont want to buy a new laptop until haswell is out or hopefully broadwell. I play wow and sc2, am getting diablo 3 and elder scrolls skyrim. I can play all on current settings maxxed out and i can run crysis and crysis 2 maxxed out around 40fps+ so i am guessing diablo 3 and elder scrolls will run no problem on my current machine![]()

You can pick up a cheap 9800M GTX from a Dell but you will need to reflash it to the clevo Vbios. Hopefully you have a backup from your current 9800M? Hopeful
SSD will work but it depends on your ports I assume you would have a SATA II port and you can pick up very cheap SATA II SSD now. If you are running RAID you would need 2 the same could think a RAID 0 setup to double the speed which would give you around SATA III speeds. -
Ok. will try that.

have you tried baking the card which should bring it back to life. seen results that have lasted a month and quite a few that have lasted over a year.
i can post the links later if you want them but at work at mo. -
The thing is it's utilizing a single and somewhat old 8800m GTX.
I've been wondering if I can save a TON of CASH by buying a pair of DELL 9800m's in SLI and get much better performance 5 years down the road.
And HOLY$#!^!!! Yout just confirmed it!!!! =8-D
Yiddo!!!! Yippeeee!!!!!! U friggin RoCK!!!!
Is there any place on the internet I can find out how to reflash these DELL's to CLEVO???
And, most importantly, will they bolt in? Or do I have to do some soldering / resoldering?
DuDE! You have no idea how happy you made this stranger in Cleveland OH USA!!!!
Thank You in advance and Best Regards, Mick -
