Then don't do it, have someone else do it. There is no warranty for bricking your 680M. Why throw $800 down the toilet if you need a video tutorial to remove it?

Here is a video of dissasembling a same clevo unit as you have

    <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/G3tE4_qxG7s?version=3&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/G3tE4_qxG7s?version=3&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width='640' height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

at 6:15 he's removing the GPU and putting it back. But in my opinion when you'll do so, put a bit less thermal paste than he did..
    Hope it helps

excellent video! I could remove the GPU and AMD, I have to wait for the Nvidia. a question, can turn on the computer without the GPU? BIOS need to fix something or windows? I turned it on without the GPU and the fans started to run at 100% and then restart the pc ..

Jeez... Now I see why so many people have heat problems of 100Cº and more on those laptops... Don't ever apply thermal paste like that. Very wrong, I bet it's just full of air bobbles and will not probably make full contact with the whole GPU\CPU...

ps: You have to apply a single thin layer coat to the whole GPU, but it must really stick to it as a single layer. Use like ur credit card to spread a single thin layer to the whole CPU and GPU.

    Don't know about that.

Back in time when desktop pc's would bring a onboard GPU, we could remove the ATI\Nvidia GPU and still use the onboard gpu...

On those laptops I have no idea.

ps: Try checking in the motherboard BIOS Setup if there is a settings saying first graphic interface or something like that (don't use the PCI), save settings and try after that. ( NOTE: Don't ever turn the laptop on with graphic card\CPU connected, but without heatsink even if u think is just to test for a few seconds)

That SUCK... It's always the nvidia\Ati cards that last lot less, if they ever burn was cool if we could remove it and still use the laptop for other things using intel's gpu... DAMN!

Don't spead, that will just introduce more bubbles. Best method is a small line on rectangular dies and a big blob in the middle on square dies.

That's normal, the Bios will say 'empty slot' but Windows 7 should detect the VGA device and install the default VGA Drivers. Try booting into Windows and installing a Nvidia Driver using one of the modded inf's in my sig.

I recommend you download Nvidia Whql 306.23 Drivers, run the setup until it fails. Copy over the modded Nvcv.inf from my link into the 'Display Driver' directory and then install again.

I saw the youtube video, it looks like the guy uses one whole tube for every chip... I have seen people use less toothpaste on a king sized brush....
