Is the viewing angle really as bad as in this topic?

I hope it's only a broken screen, can't imagine this is normal for every Clevo m860tu :O
So is it, or not?

you just got a really bad screen man. Its not broken... It just has bad viewing angles. I don't think it is normal with every unit because the screen they use has very good angles. I just think u got unlucky. Talk to your vendor, they might be able to help.

Luckily, it's not my thread
Just something I came across whilst browsing, I plan on buying one very soon.
Good thing it's not like that for every monitor, I got my confidence in this notebook again -
Oddly enough, I'm disappointed with the viewing angle on my new 9262. On top of it's other problems, It's viewing angle is so narrow that if I'm sitting at an exact 90 degree angle from the center of the screen, the top and bottom of the screen blacken noticeably. I have to practically bounce up and down just to read a page from top to bottom.

Im bumping this thread, bcoz if the screen is standard as in that other thread what the OP posted, then I'll seriously reconsider.
No way someone can convince me to buy a notebook with a screen like that. That screen is frickin horrible. -
I don't know about the 8660 or the 9262, but my 5793 does not have that problem at all. It's viewing angles are actually very good.

The viewing angles on my m860tu are nowhere near as bad as what was posted in the OP. I could view my screen clearly from all vertical and horizontal angles.
I can only assume that person just got a poor quality LCD. Mine doesn't even get that contrast or color distortion.
